Okay, okay…so I’m biased since 1. I’m a gujju and 2. I’m part of the Gujarati Society of BC Executive team. These reasons validate me being proud of my heritage and of my fellow Gujarati’s living here in Vancouver that are able to band together year after year to put together an outstanding stage show!
Don’t believe me? Check out this sneak peek from our 2011 show:
250 participants, countless hours of practices, colourful costumes, and a near sold out crowd, the countdown begins to the best Diwali Show the Gujarati Society of BC has produced to date! But we need your help: the cost for food alone for our participants and choreographers is approximately $2,500. Your generous donations and sponsorship will help us pay for this. Advertising in the program guide is offered at $100 for full page colour, and $50 for half page colour. Or you can join our volunteer crew, any help you can provide us is much appreciated. Contact Rajan Raniga at email@example.com.
Presented by G & F Financial Group, this year’s show features our award winning Raas and Garba teams: The Chaniya Chokri’s, RaasCity, and Folk Nation. We are so very proud of our teams who won 2 gold and 1 silver at the Gujarati Cultural Festival this past September.
Saturday, November 17 at 7.30pm at the Red Robinson Theatre in Coquitlam. For tickets, call Nisha at 604-763-1554. The show sells out every year so make sure you get yours soon!
