The Greatest Show on Earth!

Okay, okay…so I’m biased since 1. I’m a gujju and 2. I’m part of the Gujarati Society of BC Executive team. These reasons validate me being proud of my heritage and of my fellow Gujarati’s living here in Vancouver that are able to band together year after year to put together an outstanding stage show!

Don’t believe me? Check out this sneak peek from our 2011 show:

250 participants, countless hours of practices, colourful costumes, and a near sold out crowd, the countdown begins to the best Diwali Show the Gujarati Society of BC has produced to date! But we need your help: the cost for food alone for our participants and choreographers is approximately $2,500. Your generous donations and sponsorship will help us pay for this. Advertising in the program guide is offered at $100 for full page colour, and $50 for half page colour. Or you can join our volunteer crew, any help you can provide us is much appreciated. Last Chance to Register for Sports Programs at the Gujarati Cultural Festival!

Thank you all for your ongoing support of the GSBC’s participation in the Gujarati Cultural Festival! As you know, this festival has become so much more than a dance competition. This year, 4 sports competitions have been added to the mix: Badminton, Volleyball, Hockey, and Cricket. We are hoping, with the help of all GSBC members that Vancouver will have a strong presence both for the Dance and Sports portion of this festival. Below is all the up-to-date information on the sports programs:

For the team events please read the minimum and maximum numbers required, and have the team captain provide me a list of all participants’ names and email addresses.
